CARLA RUMP
SCULPTURES

About Carla Rump

Nature as a source of inspiration. A never-ending stream of thoughts. Wonder, eye for the beauty of that which is common. Her sculptures carved out of wood, impressing or sometimes tender and endearing.
Wood is a material that allows her blood to flow faster, she knows how to give a tree a second life as a sculpture, congealed in time.

The drawings she makes are sometimes the setting for her sculptures, gray in pencil on large sheets.
The love and attention that Carla has for her environment makes that whatever material she chooses, there is a work of art with a story that touches and fascinates.
She likes to travel to faraway places to be fed by impressions from other cultures, involved with the original inhabitants. Because of the different assignments she has received her work can be seen already in various places.

At home she works in her studio in Bussum, surrounded by sketches with ideas to be executed.
A beautiful person, beautiful work.
